Your Time Matters
Every volunteer strengthens DVPI's ability to serve individuals and families impacted by domestic violence.
Volunteer opportunities vary throughout the year and may include supporting DVPI programs, helping with special projects, assisting at events, organizing donations, preparing spaces for families, or sharing professional skills and expertise.
We'll help you find an opportunity that matches your interests, availability, and abilities.
Volunteers help in many ways, including:
Group Volunteer Projects
Bring your coworkers, friends, civic organization, church, school, or community group together for a meaningful service experience.
Depending on DVPI's current needs, group projects may include organizing supplies, assembling care packages, beautification projects, event assistance, or other hands-on activities.
Share Your Professional Skills
Your expertise can make a difference, too. Individuals and businesses may be able to support DVPI by contributing professional services, specialized skills, or expertise that helps us accomplish more while directing additional resources toward survivor services.
Support DVPI Events
Our community events depend on volunteers. Help with registration, setup, guest assistance, activities, fundraising events, awareness initiatives, and other event-day needs.
It's also a great way to introduce friends, family members, or coworkers to DVPI's mission.
More Ways to Help. More Ways to Hope.
Not every volunteer opportunity has to happen at DVPI.
You can support survivors right from your workplace, school, organization, or neighborhood.
HOST A COLLECTION DRIVE
Gather frequently needed personal care products, household supplies, children's essentials, gift cards, and other items that help DVPI meet immediate needs.
RAISE AWARENESS
Help others learn about domestic violence, healthy relationships, available resources, and how our community can support survivors.
HOST A FUNDRAISER
Turn an activity you already enjoy into an opportunity to support DVPI—from workplace dress-down days and restaurant nights to community events and personal fundraisers.
INVITE DVPI TO SPEAK
Host a Lunch & Learn, educational presentation, or community conversation to help your employees or organization better understand domestic violence and the resources available to help.
Every Hour Helps. Every Person Matters.
When you volunteer with DVPI, you become part of a community working toward something bigger: a future where every person can live free from violence.
Your time helps us stretch resources further, strengthen services, raise awareness, and provide greater support to survivors and their families.
