MEDICAL ADVOCACY

The medical system can be every bit as difficult to navigate and intimidating as the legal system to someone hurt by domestic violence. We started our medical advocacy program to help victims get the attention they need and to support them while they are going through a difficult period in their life.

These services are available to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, stalking and human trafficking.

If requested we will provide:

  • Support when you are admitted to Mercy Medical Center, Mercy Medical Center’s Emergency Department of Aultman Hospital’s Emergency Department.

  • We will link you to necessary mental and physical health agencies.

  • We’ll accompany you to medical exams and provide documentation of your injuries and treatment.

  • All services are directed by the survivor’s needs and goals.

  • Follow-up support is available.

  • All services are provided at no cost to the survivor.
