On Sunday, Feb. 25, DVPI will hold its third annual Bowling for Hope event at Park Centre Lanes in Canton, Ohio from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. This year’s event will feature five-member teams, desserts, and good fun! We ask you to consider opening your heart by partnering with DVPI in its mission and supporting Bowling for Hope through a sponsorship. All proceeds will benefit our client assistance fund, which provides fuel cards, rent/security deposits, utilities, and other critical expenses that aid survivors in rebuilding their lives.

For 45 years, Domestic Violence Project, Inc. (DVPI) has offered safety, hope, and healing to victims of domestic violence and their families. All services are free and confidential and available 24/7. Last year, DVPI sheltered 329 men, women, and children in two emergency shelters and received more than 1,131 crisis emergency calls from individuals to the 24-hour hotline. In addition, DVPI assisted over 1,100 survivors through our legal, medical, and outreach and aftercare programs.

One in four women and one in seven men will experience domestic violence in their lifetime. Anyone, regardless of gender, race, sexual identity or orientation, or socio-economic status can become a victim of domestic violence. In fiscal year 2023, there were 112 fatalities in Ohio due to domestic violence.

With your generosity, DVPI is able to continue to provide this unique safety net of services to women, men, and children in Stark County. Access to life’s basic necessities is critical to successful healing.
